Rev. Dr. Earles is the primary investigator for The Faith of Our Mothers project, which is a powerful way to center the voices of women in considering faith and family in their lives.

When she's not not hard at work, Rev. Dr. Earles enjoys being outdoors, (especially boating) and SCUBA diving when she has the opportunity. She also loves listening to a wide range of musical genres from many times and places, saying "I love the power of music to inspire!"

When asked what she loves about The Faithful Formation Project and Faith of our Mothers, Rev. Dr. Earles said, "Participants in The Faith of Our Mothers Project interviews share their stories and special parts of their lives. It is rigorous research and at the same time, it is also sacred space where two are gathered in the Spirit."

The Faithful Formation Project is THRILLED to celebrate the ordination of Rev. Dr. Lesley Ann Earles!

Rev. Dr. Earles (pictured second from left) is the primary investigator on the Faith of our Mothers research project as well as the Director of Louisville Seminary's Marriage and Family Therapy program. On Sunday, February 23, she was ordained to ministry in the United Church of Christ in a beautiful service led by family, friends, and colleagues.

Faithful Formation Project team members Sarah, Verena, and Erin were able to celebrate Rev. Dr. Earles at the ordination service, with loving support sent from our Researcher and Coordinator NeShaune.

Please join us in congratulating Rev. Dr. Lesley Ann Earles on her ordination! Her work has been and will continue to be a blessing to so many!

This Black History Month, The Faithful Formation Project is LOVING “Andy Johnson and the March For Justice” by @esaumccaulley .

This book encourages children to use their voices for racial justice through sign making and protest in beloved community.

Finally, we are grateful for all the ministers and caregivers who are already doing the holy work of guiding young people. Your care and attention are priceless treasures, and we are excited to provide you with resources as you carry on in fostering faithful formation.
