About the event
This coffee break focuses on the challenging questions that parents encounter from their children. Sarah Flannery will provide guidance on handling difficult conversations and will talk specifically about the conversations with pre-adolescents children. This workshop is available both in-person and online.
Sarah Flannery is an assistant professor of Marriage and Family Therapy at Louisville Seminary. She earned a master’s in Family Studies from the University of Kentucky and is currently a doctoral candidate in Marriage and Family Therapy at Eastern University in Philadelphia, PA, where she is finishing a dissertation entitled “Highly Engaged Fathers of Preadolescents: A Descriptive Phenomenology”. She served for fifteen years in family ministry in the United Methodist Church in Kentucky, and she has authored two books on family ministry, published by Abingdon Press. She loves teaching, researching, and learning about and from families.
